Skaket Beach

Cape Cod · July 29, 2006

On July 29, 2006, Sharlotte, Thea, Charlie, Tim, Jodi, Jenny, Bernie, Noel, and Sean spent a summer day together at Skaket Beach on Cape Cod. The photographs capture the warm shallow water, tidal pools, colorful beach umbrellas, children playing, and the easy family moments that made the day special.

Arriving at Skaket Beach

The day began with everyone settling into the beach area and then heading toward the warm, shallow water. Charlie had a comfortable shaded place to rest while the older children were eager to explore.

Wading Through the Shallows

Skaket Beach is perfect for a family outing because the water remains shallow for a long distance. Sharlotte carried Charlie while the children waded, splashed, and gathered around the small tidal pools.

Playing Near the Marsh

The tidal pools near the marsh grass became their own little world. The children hugged, laughed, ran through the water, and stopped repeatedly to inspect whatever they found beneath the surface.

Back on the Sand

After so much time in the water, everyone returned to the chairs, towels, umbrellas, buckets, and sand toys. These candid photographs capture the quieter conversations and playful moments that filled the rest of the afternoon.

A Cape Cod Summer Memory
